Healthcare-Focused Offerings, Industry Commitment Critical Selection Factors
ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 7, 2002--Lawson Software (Nasdaq:LWSN - News) today announced that two of the nation's leading academic medical centers have selected the company's software solutions to help manage mission-critical business operations.
Stanford University Medical Center (SUMC), in Stanford, Calif., will be using Lawson Human Resources and Lawson Financials, both designed specifically for healthcare businesses. SUMC officials cited Lawson's commitment to the healthcare market among the reasons for choosing Lawson's offering over that of competitors.

University of Alabama Health System, Alabama's principal tertiary healthcare provider, also recently chose Lawson because of its healthcare-specific offerings and proven track record serving other large, multi-entity healthcare institutions. The combined value of the two contracts is nearly $2 million.
