Hackensack Board Of Education,NJ Implements Edmunds Solution
Northfield, NJ- Hackensack Board of Education in Bergen County is one of New Jersey’s larger school districts. With 7 schools, 5,500 students, 650 teachers, and an annual operating budge of $40,000,000, they sorely needed to upgrade their legacy budgeting, financial reporting and purchasing systems.
In June of 2004, the Hackensack Board of Education issued Edmunds and Associates a purchase order to install its MCSJ Financial and Purchasing system. The Edmunds consulting team went on site, converted the data from the old system, loaded up this data into the Edmunds system, and trained eighty-three users in seven schools. Hackensack went live cutting checks with the new Accounts Payable module at the end of July sixty days later.
The Staff Accountant for the Hackensack Board of Ed, said, “The Edmunds system is so intuitive that everyone picked it up quickly. Training was easy because it was easy to get use to the screens. As a result, the installation went very well. The people doing the support are very good! Edmunds allowed the school and administration to jump into the 21st century with minimal effort and with an excellent company.”
