ALERE® Accounting v6.5 Adds VAT Support for International Transactions


Easton, PA – (September, 2009) – TIW Technology, is pleased to announce the release of ALERE® Accounting v6.5 as the latest addition to the ALERE Business Applications family of products. Of special interest to companies that are active in international markets, is the fact that ALERE Accounting v6.5 features Value Added Tax (VAT) support. ALERE Accounting v6.5 takes a direct, uncomplicated approach to VAT implementation, management and tracking. This integration of VAT support with the multi-currency capabilities previously incorporated into ALERE Accounting makes this latest version the go to solution for those companies that want to do business in international markets.

Of course, ALERE Accounting v6.5 possesses many other new features and refinements, a brief survey of which would include the following items.

Emailing Automation – Users can easily generate emails at key points in the sales and purchases processes such as acknowledging the receipt of orders, sending invoices for shipped orders and sending purchase orders to suppliers to name but a few possibilities.

User-Defined Inventory Fields - There are now 12 user-defined fields for each item on the inventory and Non-Stock item screens. These customizable fields could be set up to track a wide variety of information such as the company of origin or status of an item.

Expanded Payment Terms – In addition to the existing Net and Prox terms, a new Calendar payment term has been added to give the user the flexibility to organize payments based on a selected calendar date or arrange a multi-payment schedule.

PDF Reports – It is now easier than ever to share and/or email any ALERE report. Simply click the PDF button on the report option screens to convert an ALERE report to a PDF file.

MODs Directories – ALERE products have always been modifiable to meet the particular needs of a company. ALERE v6.5 offers increased functionality by making it possible to create a variety of uniquely named MODs Directories to store custom modifications and then direct a company or companies to a directory with the specific modifications required for their operation.
