ALERE® Accounting Version 6.0 Makes Sense of Euros, Yuans… and Dollars


Easton, PA – (March, 2009) – TIW Technology, is pleased to announce the release of ALERE® Accounting v6.0 as the latest addition to the ALERE Business Applications family of products. Of great interest is the fact that TIW Technology has added a Multi-Currency Module to enhance the appeal and versatility of this latest version. The ALERE Multi-Currency Module allows companies to receive customer orders or place purchase orders in a currency other than their own. To that end, an easily defined list of currencies can reflect both the “buy” and “sell” rates. Likewise, staying current with fluctuating exchange rates is also a very straightforward procedure. Furthermore, an integrated history offers an overview of how those rates change over time. Finally, the user may employ colorful 2D or 3D charts to help track exchange trends over the course of days, weeks, months or even years.

ALERE Accounting v6.0 enjoys many additional features and benefits, a few of which would include:

Requisitions – Employees can start a requisition with a list of items, even if they do not know the item number. They can initiate the order simply by providing a description, a quantity and a date and then sending that request to the purchasing department.

12 Month balance Sheet – This new financial report compares twelve months of performance beginning with any period/year you specify, providing a perfect match to the 12 month income statement.

Mass Invoicing – This tool enables users to expedite the processes of releasing, invoicing and shipping of large numbers of sales orders. This same process can also handle sales returns with equal facility.

Screen-on-Screen Reports – Reports can now be resized or minimized and behave in a manner consistent with the screen-on-screen style of the rest of the product. This feature will also allow you to run multiple reports for side-by-side comparisons.

Report Previews – Now you have the capability of previewing orders before printing them directly from the sales, purchase and transfer order screens.
